Do you know if your website effectively markets your products and services? Whether it actually attracts your target market?
Like any marketing effort, knowing the results of your website efforts will help you spend your time and money wisely. Tracking & analyzing visitor statistics and search engine rankings reveal the marketing power of any website and provide insight and opportunity to increase that power to attract your target market.
Important website visitor statistics, provided by most web hosting companies, include
- Unique visits (by day, by week, by month)
- Pages visited
- Referring sites
- Search engine keywords and phrases
Your business ranking in Google and Yahoo for key search phrases tell you how 'findable' your business is on the Web. Key phrases will be -
- Your personal name
- Your business name
- Phrases that people use when looking
for your key products and services
Analyze these results regularly, look for trends & marketing opportunities to optimize your website, attract your target market and increase your prospects and sales.
